There are 5 easy steps in creating your Autoresponder from Emercury's marketing center.
Step 1. - Define the Trigger (A trigger maybe many different things, it could be the date someone sign up for a newsletter and the autoresponder could be a thank you email or a license key after the purchase of your product etc.
Step 2. to Step 5. Creating campaign ( part of creating the actual email campaign to be sent)
Immediate Autoresponder
As soon as an Autoresponder email is created, a trigger occurs.
Click 'CAMPAIGNS' and select 'AUTORESPONDERS'
Click 'NEW AUTORESPONDER' to start.
Fill out the required fields and the boxes below to select are optional, you may click 'NEXT' to continue.
Go ahead and composed your Autoresponder email and once you are done click 'NEXT' to continue.
Select the link you want to track and select the category corresponding to it since we enabled 'Track Individual Customer Activity' in Step 2. Click 'NEXT' to continue.
You may like to select 'SPAM TEST' to test autoresponder for spam score.
All "+" signs are expandable blocks that gives you a complete information. Click 'OK' when finished.
Enable your Autoresponder , click 'CAMPAIGNS' and select 'AUTORESPONDERS'
Select the 'ID' in the left side and hit 'ENABLED SELECTED'
Scheduled Autoresponder
You set up a timeframe and when there is a trigger following within that time period the email will be sent.
Click 'CAMPAIGNS' and select 'AUTORESPONDERS'
Click 'NEW AUTORESPONDER' to start.
If you select a 'condition' you will be required to :
- Select the time to start sending the emails
- Select the timezone
- Select an email list
- Select a condition and the
- Enter the amount of days to send
If you decide not to select a type of condition, the other option is the check box where you can select a category or url. This means that sending an AR based on catogory of the email or the a URL address within an email
Based on category
When creating an email you will be asked to define a catogory. For example if a subs opens an email where the catogory equals "Auto" and the AR trigger is category equals "Auto" then it will send out an email.
Based on URL
The same scenario applies for URLs, when creating an email campaign with the email marketing wizard in Step 2 there is a data field called track individual customer activity where the system tracks the url links from within a campaign.
When done click 'NEXT' to continue.
